Pressure Seal Globe Valve
Pressure Seal Globe Valve is designed for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. These valves offer reliable sealing at the bonnet joint, making them more compact, rigid, and maintenance-cost-effective compared to bolted bonnet valves. Their design ensures superior sealing performance, especially in demanding environments.

- Pressure seal bonnet valves are a compact alternative to bolted bonnet designs, especially suitable for high-pressure applications. In a pressure seal valve, the bonnet closure assembly is designed so that internal fluid pressure acting on the bonnet increases the compressive load on the sealing gasket, creating a self-energizing seal. Unlike bolted bonnet designs, the sealing performance of pressure seal bonnets improves as internal pressure increases.
- Globe valves are multi-turn valves with a non-rotating stem and a non-rising handwheel. They can be used for normal flow regulation. However, when operated in a slightly open position under high differential pressure, the seating surfaces may experience erosion. Therefore, it is not recommended to use globe valves for flow control below 10% of full opening.
- All globe valves close by rotating the handwheel clockwise and open by rotating it counterclockwise.
- For all globe valves, a stem guide is used for position support, and open/close indication is typically provided on the valve yoke. For handwheel-operated valves, the position of the stem above the handwheel also indicates whether the valve is open or closed.
- Globe valves are classified as either Y-pattern or T-pattern based on the body configuration.

- Separated rings are designed to absorb the thrust along the stem generated by internal pressure.
- Sealing rings are used to withstand system pressure and prevent deformation of the gaskets.
- Stainless steel inlays are provided to ensure structural integrity and corrosion resistance in the critical body sealing zone for carbon steel and alloy steel valves.
- A mild steel gasket seal is used to provide a large contact area for reliable and effective sealing performance.
- Seat rings with Stellite 6 hardfacing overlay are provided as standard and are installed using a seal-welded construction.
