Testing & Inspection

Kosen Valve's Quality Control system monitors every stage, from material intake to final delivery, ensuring full compliance with specifications. Coordination with approved third-party inspectors and certifying bodies is provided when required. Each product is delivered with certified test documentation, including chemical and mechanical analysis as well as hydrostatic pressure test results. Upon request, NDT and other specialized inspections are included in the final certification. All standard tests follow relevant API, BS, AS, and DIN specifications. GA drawings, hydrostatic shell and seat leakage test results, and mechanical/chemical certificates are issued according to EN 10204.3.1.

Pressure Testing
All valves undergo hydrostatic pressure testing on the body and seat, along with low-pressure air seat testing, according to the applicable shut-off class. Testing standards include API 598, API 6D, or other applicable codes such as MSS. Visual inspections are also conducted in accordance with MSS-SP-55.

Dimensional Testing
Components are measured for dimensional accuracy before assembly, as per technical drawings. Post-assembly, valve dimensions are re-verified against the GA drawing to ensure compliance and performance.

Special Testing
Additional testing capabilities include high-pressure gas testing, cryogenic testing at low temperatures, helium leakage testing on body and stem, endurance testing, bending tests, and high-temperature evaluations. Other customized tests can be performed upon request, based on customer-specific requirements.
