The ASTM A105N Tilting Disc Check Valve is a high-pressure valve designed for demanding industrial applications. Manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.34 standards, it features a carbon steel body and a pressure-sealed design. The valve has a 5-1/8 inch diameter and is rated for a pressure of up to 10,000 PSI, making it suitable for high-pressure systems. It is equipped with flanged ends for easy installation and secure connections.
Product Name: ASTM A105N Tilting Disc Check Valve, Pressure Sealed
Design Standard: ASME B16.34
Body Material: ASTM A105N
Size: 5-1/8 Inch
Pressure: 10000 PSI
End Connection: Flanged
The disc of a tilting disc check valve is mounted on a pivot point at its center. It is designed to address the weaknesses of traditional swing check valves. Compared to a swing check valve, the tilting disc check valve can remain fully open and stable at lower flow rates. In contrast, a swing check valve requires higher fluid velocity to keep the disc open, resulting in a higher cracking pressure. For low-pressure applications, the pressure drop of a tilting disc check valve is significantly lower than that of a swing check valve. However, at higher flow rates, the tilting disc check valve experiences a higher pressure drop compared to the swing type.
