Cast steel gate valves are designed and manufactured to ensure leakage of less than 100 ppm (parts per million) of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Extensive baseline laboratory testing, including static and cycle testing, has established the critical design parameters required to achieve low-emission sealing in both the stem packing and bonnet gasket areas. An in-house testing procedure has been developed and is performed periodically to ensure that our standard product design and manufacturing processes consistently achieve a maximum VOC leakage of 100 ppm before shipment.
