Fully Welded Ball Valves, also known as Welded Body Ball Valves, feature a fully welded body construction. These valves are designed for use as stop/shutoff valves in water and gas supply systems, heat-power engineering applications, municipal and utility services, and process lines in chemical and oil-refining plants, as well as pulp-and-paper production facilities. All forging materials are subjected to ultrasonic examination in accordance with ASME nondestructive flaw-detection requirements. The welding bevel on the connection face undergoes liquid penetrant testing, and a specified corrosion allowance is incorporated into the body wall thickness. The carbon-steel stem, fixed shaft, ball, seat, and seat ring are treated with chemical nickel plating in accordance with ASTM B733 and ASTM B656. Additionally, a range of corrosion-resistant materials is available for customer selection. Depending on service requirements, valve materials can be specified to comply with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 or NACE MR0103. Strict quality control and inspection are applied throughout manufacturing to ensure full compliance with these standards and reliable performance in sour-service environments.
